Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August, 1995 in London, United Kingdom. The model signed with Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album climbed up to the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released including Be the only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also rose at number 6 in the United States. Lipa's album, which is now been recognized as Platinum in several countries across the world was awarded the two Brit Awards (in 2018) for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough act. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha, and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian ancestry. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja the city of Kosovo. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa and one younger brother, named Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father, who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for the Kosovan group Oda. While at home with her parents, her father would play his original compositions, along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. The first time she sang was in Sylvia Young Theater School. Sylvia Young Theater School when she was just nine years older. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not Gone You from Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa made her debut record deal in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released on August 2015.
